When I launched CARRY A BAG® in 2005 I often had to explain the concept so I'm thrilled that in 2010 most people are aware that there is an alternative. But people tell me they still forget to take a bag or are not always expecting to go shopping. Well, instead of piling on the guilt here at CARRY A BAG® our plan is to make you bags you can't bear to leave at home. Whether you like pretty, utility, vintage, a polite slogan or a superhero you are sure to find a bag here that you will always remember to carry.

The bags are designed and made in St Leonards on Sea using a mix of hard-wearing utility cottons alongside recycled vintage curtain fabrics. I search out fabulous textiles for linings then hand print the words using non-toxic inks and stitch the bags. Parcels are wrapped in good quality recycled paper and tape then at the end of the day I walk the parcels down to our local post office by the sea - and I really do try in every way to stay true to my ethical principles.
